Posted on the Stanislaus Regional Transit website: The S will provide Free curb-to-curb rides to and from the free Community Thanksgiving Dinner, served at the Modesto Centre Plaza on November 27, 2025.
All rides will be provided on Demand Response buses, and advanced reservations must be made at (209) 527-4900 to schedule a ride, as seating is limited. This service is open to the general public.
Please make your reservation no later than 5:00 p.m. on November 26. When making reservations, passengers will be assigned a pick-up and drop-off window.
Rides will be provided beginning around 12:00 pm to the dinner and return rides will end at 2:30 pm.

On Wednesday, December 17th at 5:00 pm, newly licensed teenage drivers and their parents/guardians are invited to attend and participate in a free 2 hour long Start Smart class at 4030 Kiernan Avenue in Modesto. CHP officers speak directly to the teen drivers and their parents/guardians through candid conversations, discussing topics such as collision avoidance techniques along with collision causing elements such as excessive speed, DUI, and distracted driving.
